I qualified as an architect in 1981 and started my practice on my own in 1991 working from a garden shed. I got my first architectural lead when I was working as a door to door salesman. It was for a grant aided disabled adaptation and I’m still working on these adaptations today.
During my time as a Chartered Architect I worked on many different building types. I retired from being an architect last year but have continued to work on mainly new builds for builders and extensions for domestic clients. I had stopped doing the project management but recently was asked if I could manage a disabled adaption. So I’ve decided to come ‘out of retirement’ to help this lady. So I’m flexible and can adapt to most situations. I recently designed an extension with 3 roof options so the clients can discuss with their builder which one they want to build.
Over the years all of my work has been by recommendation but a recent client wanted to see some of my work on-line. So here’s my web site showing some. Over the years I’d say a conservative estimate of the jobs I’ve worked on would be around 2000. Including disabled adaptations and extensions, small and large domestic extensions, new build houses for builders, church extensions and alterations and small commercial projects.
